It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Bravo's three-part special "Ultimate Superheroes," "Vixens" and "Villains." The series begins Tuesday, May 24 (10-11 p.m. EST) and airs at the same time for three consecutive nights.

Narrated by one of television's original superheroes Adam West, Bravo's upcoming special celebrates the heroes, villains and vixens that have created powerful impressions on fans throughout the years. Over 50 experts, ranging from comic book creators to filmmakers and producers to the actors that brought these characters to life, were consulted for the formation of the top 20 lists in each category.

The superheroes, supervillains and supervixens were chosen from comic books, movies, television, and video games. All choices will be based on the characters' longevity, their iconic pop-culture status, and their overall "cool factor." Each hour will also be packed with fun sidebars, including: best evil plot to destroy the world, best side-kick, best evil laugh, best hide-out, best gadgets, best alter-ego and more.
