Matthew (Emile Hirsch), Eli (Chris Marquette), and Klitz (Paul Dano) are on the verge of graduating from High School with nothing to show for it... until ex-porn star Danielle (Elisha Cuthbert,"24") moves in next door and things start to spin out of control. This is a comedy about opposite worlds, views and backgrounds colliding. It is about a boy with a future and a girl with a past. A boy who is about to lose his innocence and a girl who is trying to regain it.

The film asks, How far are you willing to go for the person you love? Are you willing to risk everything? If you want the girl next door, you had better be willing to risk it all and experience a journey for which you never could have prepared.

Although this movie isn't a totally original idea - for those of you who remember 1980's hits like Revenge of the Nerds, Porky's, and Risky Business- but it adds a certain modern twist that refreshes the plot and brings it into this century.

To be honest I expected nothing more from this film than a whole lot of T&A - which is exactly what we get, but we also get romance, humour (the laugh out loud kind),drama, and an all around good performance from the cast. True, The Girl Next Door doesn't offer any probable life lessons but considering it is a movie about the porn industry it wasn't as crude or as vulgar as it could have been.
