The Los Angeles premiere of "Orange County" introduced a couple of Oscar winners' heirs to their first taste of the spotlight Monday night, as the parents did their best not to steal any thunder from the novice thespians. Costars Colin Hanks and Schuyler Fisk joined the irrepressible Jack Black at the Paramount Lot screening of the homage to the county south of Los Angeles which is home to No Doubt and Dennis Rodman.

Photographers scrambled to get a shot of proud papa Tom Hanks and wife Rita Wilson as they skipped the red carpet and headed into the theater, while son Colin jokingly blamed Black for missing his lines during filming: "The hardest job I have ever had is to not laugh during his takes," said Hanks, who worked on the cult hit "Roswell" before jumping to the big screen. "Some of Jack's best work will never see the light of day because I was laughing too much. He's a genius."

The cast worked mostly in Hollywood and ventured down to Orange County, which claims the towns between Los Angeles and San Diego, for only a few days.

"It's super-funny, really smart and not cheesy and lame like most movies," Black said of the film about a brainy kid (Hanks) who enlists his not-so-brainy brother (Black) to help him woo the Stanford University admissions team.
