Malcolm in the Middle and Cody Banks star Frankie Muniz has given his father somewhere to live after years of estrangement.

The 18-year-old actor, who recently bought himself a mansion in Brentwood, California, admits his former restaurant manager father Frank has just come back into his life - and they're now living together in his plush new home.

He says, "My dad actually just came (to my house) for the first time. (It's) a few years (since) I'd seen him.

"He came to my house and he was just blown away because he's never been around me since I've been on the show. He was just like, 'Wow! This is awesome!'

"He doesn't have a place right now, so he's staying with me."
