Barbershop was a huge surprise hit in 2002. Now the hard-working, opinionated South Side Chicago haircutters are back and Queen Latifah is running the beauty shop next door. The whole gang must unite to save the neighborhood in Barbershop 2: Back in Business.

In his now successful barbershop, Calvin (Ice Cube) can finally relax a bit financially. Eddie (Cedric the Entertainer) is still mumbling whatever comes to mind, be it PC or not, and we learn, in flashbacks to the '60's, just how Eddie got his groove on with a special lady and stood up to rioters after Martin Luther King was murdered. Full-of-attitude female haircutter Terri (Eve) is still putting the boys in their place, White dude trying to be Black Isaac (Troy Garity) is coming into his own and getting respect and hottie barber Ricky (Michael Ealy) is getting very attracted to Terri. African Dinka (Leonard Earl Howze is looking for the perfect girlfriend and add in Calvin's wife's cousin Kenard ( Kenan Thompson) who has recently graduated from barber college. What he doesn't have in haircutting talent (zero), he makes up for in gung-ho bravado. Throw in smart-talking Queen Latifah as owner of the beauty salon next door, and the stew pot is ready for comic stirring.
