The cast and crew of new action movie Cradle 2 the Grave were left unimpressed by rapper DMX's filming efforts - because of his abysmal punctuality.

The hip-hop star turned up to February 24th's New York premiere 25 minutes after the film was due to start - even though he was staying at the hotel next to the cinema.

And his tardiness prompted co-stars Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson to reveal the whole shoot was about waiting for DMX.

Arnold said, "We all composed a little song about him. It went something like, 'We're waiting on DMX, we're waiting on DMX.' He'll be late to his own funeral."

Anderson added, "I knew he'd be late. He's always late."
