Teenage Twilight star Taylor Lautner is so delighted he'll be back for the film's sequel, he has promised to bulk up for the role.

The 16 year old only had a small role in the first film but his character, Jacob Black, has a much bigger part in follow-up New Moon.

And he started getting in shape for the film as soon as Twilight had wrapped.

He says, "I started working out the day after I finished filming Twilight because I knew it was a necessity for the character.

"I put on 20 pounds and then I guaranteed... 10 more pounds and I've already put on about six. So, four more pounds and I'm a man of my word."

The muscly star bulked up with two-hour gym sessions, seven days a week, and ate "as much as I can".

He adds, "I basically killed myself."
