Orlando Bloom and his girlfriend Miranda Kerr have denied they are engaged following a flurry of rumours about an imminent wedding.

The British actor was reported to have proposed to the catwalk beauty before jetting off on a romantic break in Venice last week.

But a representative for Australian model Kerr has refuted the claims, insisting the couple aren't planning on walking down the aisle any time soon.

The rep tells People.com, "These rumours are not true. The story is completely false and misleading. Miranda herself has clearly stated she is not engaged. There is nothing else to be said."

The pair went public with their romance earlier this year. Bloom has previously dated stars including Kate Bosworth and Kirsten Dunst.
