Paris Hilton has brushed off rumours she will wed boyfriend Benji Madden after stepping out with a diamond ring on her wedding finger.

The 27-year-old heiress has admitted she would love to start a family with Madden, 29, since the pair began dating in February.

But Hilton insists they have yet to make official plans to walk down the aisle, insisting the sparkler was merely a thoughtful present from the Good Charlotte rocker.

She tells U.S. magazine Ok!: "The wedding rumours are untrue. We're still boyfriend and girlfriend, but not engaged. The ring is just a nice gift."
