Movie and music mogul Kenny Ortega has fuelled rumours he will team up with Zac Efron for a remake of the 1984 movie Footloose.

The director has already worked with Efron on all three High School Musical movies and has hinted they will re-team for a remake of Footloose for bosses at Paramount.

He says, "There's some genuine enthusiasm coming from the Paramount side.

"It looks like there's a real good chance that this may be a movie that we're going to do next year,"

Efron adds, "I'll always be open to more musicals. I think they're fun and I think it's our responsibility as performers to try and keep them alive. I love Footloose - it's a great movie."
