Christina Aguilera has congratulated fellow new parent Ricky Martin, after the pop star announced he is the father of twin boys.

The Puerto Rican chart-topper revealed his big news last week, explaining the babies were born to a surrogate mother.

And Aguilera, who welcomed son Max into the world in January, is thrilled.

She tells UsMagazine.com, "Congratulations! It is the best thing you will ever do in your life. I'm sure he is such a proud papa!"

And she reveals she can't wait to get pregnant again with husband Jordan Bratman: "(Being a mother) just gives you a whole new sense of purpose, and it's just the most amazing thing. I was in awe of the entire experience of pregnancy; the entire journey was just incredible."
