Pop rockers Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson have reportedly started house-hunting in Chicago and New York in a desperate bid to escape Hollywood before their baby is born.

The Fall Out Boy rocker married pop star Simpson in May after learning they were expecting their first child later this year.

And according to U.S. magazine Ok!, the couple is desperate to raise their new addition outside of the limelight.

A source tells the magazine Simpson is "bored of Hollywood and looking to find a place in Nyc," adding: "They're trying to find a place in Chicago as well so Pete can be close to his family."

Earlier this month, Wentz took the first step towards a move - putting his Los Angeles bachelor pad up for sale with an asking price of around $1.8 million.
