Paris Hilton has once again fuelled reports she's in a bitter battle for media attention with pal Nicole Richie - after allegedly making plans to have a baby.

The socialite has admitted she would love to start a family with Good Charlotte rocker Benji Madden - the twin brother of Richie's boyfriend Joel.

Richie gave birth to her first child, daughter Harlow, in January with Joel, and according to the New York Post, Hilton is ready for motherhood - in an attempt to reclaim her spotlight.

A source tells the newspaper, "She's jealous of all the attention Nicole Richie has been getting and knows she's fallen off in the (tabloids) lately. A baby would put her back in the news."
