Superstar couple Shawn 'Jay-Z' Carter and Beyonce Knowles have bought their first house as husband and wife - in the same New York county that they wed in last month.

The newlyweds exchanged vows in a private ceremony at a chapel in Scarsdale Village in Westchester County on 4 April, before holding a reception at the rapper's luxury penthouse apartment in the TriBeCa area of New York City.

And the stars have now decided to call Scarsdale home, after purchasing a modern colonial property measuring 15,000 square-feet in the quiet community, according to website TMZ.com.
