Think being a young actress is glam? Pretty actress Laura Ramsey of horror flicks Venom and The Covenant gives us the inside story on what it is really like to develop a character and freak out on camera for days on end during 16-hour a day location shoots in the jungle. The popular horror novel "The Ruins" is now a film and Laura plays Stacy, one of a group of pals vacationing in Cancun who end up trapped atop a Mayan ruin by both human and non-human, 'floral' captors.
We chatted with Laura recently in L.A. about her intense role, vacations from hell, living without technology, bonding with fellow actors and what is on the horizon for this talented up and comer...
TeenHollywood: Okay, you kind of started your career with that documentary "The Real Cancun" so how did that experience compare to this Spring Break from Hell film? I assume very different?
Laura: [laughs] Oh God, it was!
TeenHollywood: I guess the beach scenes in this would be the only comparison?
Laura: That's it. That's the only thing to compare it to. Otherwise, all of the psychological, mind of out control stuff happens after that.
TeenHollywood: You've played a few young women in peril... in Venom, then The Covenant. How did those different film experiences compare?
