Don't be thrown by our headline. Pretty, petite actress Christina Ricci is as curvy and trim as ever. The pig reference is to the kinda cute pig snout she sports in the new modern romantic fairy tale film Penelope. Christina plays a young woman who is victimized by a family curse. She's been tucked away by her folks for years. In fact, the world thinks she's dead. Only if she can find someone to love her.. for herself...snout and all, can the curse be broken.

Christina has been acting since she was a little tyke. You might have seen her as a kid in The Addams Family or Casper or Mermaids. Lately, the young actress has taken on very adult faire in Monster and Black Snake Moan. She also has the femme lead in the upcoming comic-based actioner Speed Racer which we discussed a bit. We wanted to know all about the pig snout make-up, her wardrobe in the film and her own insecurities growing up (the movie is obviously about being "different" and conquering your demons).

Christina walked into our interview room at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills and we thought she was another journalist...or a publicist or a hotel guest in the wrong room. It's that short golden-blondish bob with cute bangs that fooled us! We always picture the actress as a dark-haired beauty with long hair. Wow! The look is different but nice.
