She's one of those dark-haired, moody beauties who attracts guys like flies to honey. You might last have seen actress Shannyn Sossamon wandering around in the after-life with Patrick Fugit in Wristcutters: A Love Story or caught her sultry act in TV's "Moonlight" as the sexy vampire Coraline who "turned" hot Alex O'Loughlin into a creature of the night. In the new horror thriller One Missed Call, Shannyn plays a college student whose friends start dying after receiving cell phone messages with the sounds of their own deaths. Creepy. It's a re-imagining of a Japanese horror story and film.
We sat down with Shannyn to chew the fat.. and the holiday Moose Munch (for rookies, that's popcorn covered with chocolate and caramel) in Beverly Hills right before Christmas and got the goods on shooting this creepy thriller, her feelings about laughing on a horror movie set, her take on ghosts and her hopes for her character on "Moonlight". Picture the actress in green, silk oriental-influence top by Dries Van Noten over black pants and wearing very high black heels.
Shannyn: [entering and spotting our bowl of munchies on the table] That Moose Munch looks good!
TeenHollywood: Ed [Burns, her co-star] picked out all the chocolate ones.
Shannyn: [laughing and munching] How is this for the eating and the talking?
