The Simpsons Movie: Widescreen Edition

The adventures of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and the Springfield gang finally made it to the big screen in 2007 and the story is a doozy; Homer dumps a silo full of pig poo into a polluted local lake and creates an environmental catastrophe! The EPA puts a big dome over Springfield and the citizens are trapped! Of course there is a personal family crisis etc. to flesh out the plot and the usual, very sharp pop culture references and parodies.

Video/Audio: I reviewed an advance screener copy so there were a few defects in the video and a pop-up Fox logo that won't be on the retail disc but, overall, color etc. was fine. Sound is very clear and crisp. Not a lot of surround sound but plenty for this type of film.
