In the new holiday film This Christmas, mega-hot R&B crooner Chris Brown plays a young man who has to keep his singing talent secret from his family [don't worry. He does sing in the film]. Chris' real life situation is the total opposite. In Beverly Hills recently, we interviewed Chris with his jeans and flip-flop-clad mom watching proudly from the corner of the room. Despite a line of mega hits, the top-of-the-charts new album "Exclusive" and a successful transition to actor [first Stomp the Yard, now this film], the young dynamo is still very friendly, considerate and can't seem to believe all the hype about him.

Chris: This is actually LRG's new line. It's like a branching of their line, a brother label. But, I've always got something colorful on.

TeenHollywood: You've always said that Donny Hathaway and Sam Cooke were two of the biggest influences in your career. Was it your choice to sing and put your own interpretation on two of their biggest songs in this film?
