Dj Inspiration For Hurricane Chris Facing Rape Charge
Aug 8, 2007 - World Entertainment News Network
The DJ who inspired rapper Hurricane Chris' hit song A Bay Bay has been arrested on suspicion of rape, according to reports.
DJ HollyHood Bay Bay - real name Terrance Stewart - was taken into custody by Louisiana police on Monday afternoon and charged with one count of simple rape and intimidation of a witness. His bond for the rape charge has been set at $150,000.
A second man, Ronald 'dj Ron' Johnson, is also being held in Caddo Correctional Center on $250,000 bond for one charge of rape, after surrendering to authorities on Monday night.
Both men are accused of sexually assaulting the unnamed female in Shreveport's Kokopelli nightclub after she was found lying drunk and unconscious on the second floor of the venue last Thursday.
Cops believe the woman was raped on Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, before she was discovered by bar staff at 4am.
Police spokeswoman Kacee Hargrave says, "The woman apparently wasn't in a state of mind to know what happened to her. I don't know if it was surveillance in the club or what."
"I'm not sure if the sexual assault happened after she was drunk or before she got drunk. We are continuing our investigation, more arrests are possible."
