Shia LaBeouf is 'Disturbed'
Apr 10, 2007 - Lynn Barker
Ah, living in Disturbia... the quiet suburbs where all is not what it seems. The burbs are all that more freaky when you are a teen under house arrest with an alarm cuff on your ankle that summons the cops the minute you step one foot too far from home. Oh, you say you have strict parents and already feel like that? No degree of "grounded" is like what 20-year-old actor Shia LaBeouf's character goes through in the new thriller Disturbia.

The film is a mix of teen dating angst (Shia's character is in love with the hot new babe next door) and serial killer terror classic Rear Window style as he and friends spy on the strange and scary guy next door. We've already chatted recently with the actor about his voice role in the upcoming animated film Surf's Up but, Shia is one busy fellow these days. Some people read the actor as cocky. We read him as having confidence. There's more to find out about this young talent.
We sat down with Shia in Beverly Hills recently to chat about making Disturbia, his blossoming career, what's up with his role in this summer's big Transformers film but NEWS FLASH: Shia is in the new Indiana Jones film! He says, "I was hoping the rumors were true, so I couldn't be more thrilled," said Shia. "To be cast in an Indiana Jones film is like grabbing the brass ring and holding on for the ride. I'll do my best to meet the high standards that Steven, George, and Harrison have set and I can't wait to take that giant step in front of the Indy cameras." Pull up a swanky hotel chair and listen in for all things "Shia"....
