Hip-hop star Timbaland will host a fund-raiser this month for 2008 US presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Timbaland, real name Timothy Mosley, is throwing his support behind the former first lady who is competing with popular Illinois Senator Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination.

The music mogul, who has worked with Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Justin Timberlake, among others, will host the posh fundraiser in Miami, Florida.

Former US President Bill Clinton will also be attending the star-studded gala on 31 March 2007 where guests will pay $1,000 per ticket.
