Cute Ryan Phillippe can't escape. He's worrying about a wrecked marriage in his film roles too!

In the spy thriller Breach, Ryan plays FBI trainee Eric O'Neill, a newly married, ambitious young man who wants to make agent, leave his boring surveillance gigs and move on up to more interesting cases. He gets his wish bigtime when he is chosen to spy on famous FBI agent Robert Hanssen (Chris Cooper), one of the biggest traitors in U.S. history; having sold U.S. secrets to the Russians for years.

Eric settles into Hanssen's office as an assistant/secretary type and starts working his way into the very strange and edgy guy's good graces. This includes going to church with him (oddly hypocritical since Hanssen's idea of a good time is curling up with a hot screen of porn). O'Neill's young wife played by newcomer Caroline Dhavernas, gets frustrated with hubby's secrecy and his lies about work and the pressure on the young man is doubled.

As O'Neill gets closer to his final goal, getting the info that will enable an indictment for treason, Hanssen gets more dangerous and mentally unbalanced. Can our young hero stay undercover or will he be busted and killed by his scary new boss?
