Barrymore Bounces Back After Woody Allen Singing Snub
Feb 14, 2007 - World Entertainment News Network
Drew Barrymore hopes Woody Allen hears her musical efforts in new movie Music And Lyrics because he's partly responsible for making the actress feel like she couldn't carry a tune.
The actress was the only cast member in Allen's quirky musical Everyone Says I Love You who wasn't allowed to sing - because producers felt her musical efforts were dreadful.
But brave Barrymore attempted to hit the high notes again in new movie Music And Lyrics, and now she's convinced Allen's people were being too critical.
She says, "This year I'll be on two soundtracks, singing. That's how you turn it all around."
