Grint's Pal Pleads Not Guilty To Sex Assault
Jan 23, 2007 - World Entertainment News Network
Rupert Grint's former best friend has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from an alleged sex attack at the Harry Potter star's 18th birthday party last September.
Joshua Lodge, 18, was accompanied by his parents at St Albans Crown Court in England yesterday (January 22, 2006), and spoke only to confirm his name and enter a not guilty plea to the sexual activity with a child charge.
The case was adjourned until September (2007) and Lodge was released on conditional bail.
Lodge's mother told reporters she feels sorry for Grint, saying, "He and Josh were best friends but now that's been ruined."
