Animated movie Cars was knocked into second place with $22.5 million, after two weeks in the top spot.

Funnyman Jack Black's film Nacho Libre, about Mexican wrestlers, slipped one spot to number three with $12.1 million.

The weekends other new wide release, Waist Deep, starring Tyrese Gibson as an ex-con forced into a robbery spree to collect ransom for his kidnapped son, opened strongly with $9.5 million at number four.
