A movie where Dr. Phil chops off his own leg? We're there!

The Scary Movie wackos are back with new spoofs of The Grudge, The Village, Saw, Saw 2, Brokeback Mountain, War of the Worlds and even Million Dollar Baby! Clueless Cindy Campbell (Anna Faris) takes a job as a homecare worker in the Grudge house.. which is conveniently right next to Tom Cruise's War of the Worlds' house, and is haunted by that weird little Japanese kid. Teaming up again with self-centered, sex-craving buddy Brenda (Regina Hall) Cindy survives yet another crazy series of horror moments, including an alien invasion and a side trip to The Village. Fun cameos by Dr. Phil, Shaquille O'Neal and Carmen Electra.

Like almost all of the spoof movies, "Scary 4" has some hit and some miss moments and the story is very loosely strung together. As usual, the cast plays the comedy wicked straight so it's even funnier. Anna, Regina and veteran Leslie Nielsen are masters of this. Most of the parodies in this film seem funnier to me as a whole than those is the three previous "Scary" films. I love talented Craig Bierko (he was "The Music Man" on Broadway!) as the Tom Cruise character.. especially when he literally starts eating Oprah's couch (Bierko told us that the stuffing was really cotton candy!). The special effects look really good for a comedy film as well.
