The Legend Of: Antonio Banderas
Oct 24, 2005 - Lynn Barker
There is just something ultra hot about a swashbuckling man in black! In 1998, Latino heartthrob Antonio Banderas brought the long-time legend of Zorro beautifully back to life and The Mask of Zorro launched his co-star, Oscar-winner Catherine Zeta-Jones' career. Her performance also grabbed the attention of her future husband Michael Douglas. There was total agreement that Antonio was the only guy to play this dashing defender of the poor in early California.

After a lot of script and other production woes over the years, Zorro and Antonio return in the action-packed, family-friendly The Legend of Zorro. It's ten years later and Elena and Don Alejandro de la Vega now have a son. Antonio, who likes to talk with his hands, met with us to chat about the new film, getting back into character, doing the tough action sequences, recreating the voice role of the beloved Puss in Boots, his family life and plans to again hit the Broadway stage. Picture a casual Antonio in denim shirt and jeans and speaking with that rich Latin accent....
