British royal Prince Harry is being considered for promotion to sergeant or corporal after just five months in the British Army, after impressing officers at the Sandhurst Military Academy.

Army officers were immediately struck by the prince's hardworking attitude and instinct for leadership, and his efforts are likely to be rewarded within the month (oct05).

A senior Army insider says, "Harry is doing well at Sandhurst. He should find out within a month if he is being made up to corporal or sergeant and he is in with a very good chance.

"Harry has shown excellent leadership qualities, and is particularly comfortable on field exercises. That's where it counts - when you and your mates are under fire."
