Window seat or aisle? Either way, Rachel McAdams is doomed to one heck of a wild ride in the "friendly" skies!

Red Eye story goes, Lisa Reisert (Rachel McAdams), manager of a posh Miami hotel, hurries to catch the red-eye flight from Dallas to Miami. She's an in-charge gal, talking on her cell to assistant Cynthia (Jayma Mays) and handling a hotel guest crisis all while standing on line at the airline counter. Of course the weather is bad, delaying her flight. Also in line is cute, charming and friendly Jackson (Cillian Murphy) whom she agrees to have a drink with. On the plane they "just happen" to be sitting next to each other. What are the odds?

Lisa, has a lot of personal problems that make relationships difficult for her so she's devoted herself to her job which has become her life. After the plane is in flight, Jackson reveals his true colors. He's gonna kill her and her dad if she doesn't call her hotel and move a high level homeland security chief to another room... obviously where he and his family will meet their doom! Can Lisa thwart the assassination plot and still save herself and her dad at home (where a hitman is just waiting for the word from Jackson to kill him)?
