Malcolm In The Middle star Frankie Muniz will shed his teen image to play Boy Wonder Robin in the upcoming Batman Begins sequel - if director Christopher Nolan has his way.

The Memento director fears he won't be involved with the franchise when Robin is introduced but he thinks baby-faced Muniz will be the perfect sidekick for the Caped Crusader.

Nolan tells Internet site Superherohype.com Muniz would make the perfect Robin "if he doesn't age too quickly".

Dick Grayson and Chris O'donnell have formerly played Robin on TV and the big screen.
