Alex Pettyfer to Strip off for Tatum Role

Alex Pettyfer has been hired to star in a film inspired by the real life experiences of stripper-turned-actor Channing Tatum.

The I Am Number Four star has been picked to lead the cast of Magic Mike, which will be directed by Steven Soderbergh and produced by Tatum.

The film chronicles the life of a young man who bares all for lusty women as he struggles to make a living.

Tatum, who wowed the ladies with his toned physique in Florida before he became an actor, will play a character who mentors the stripper.

Production is slated to begin in Los Angeles in August.
