Ashley Tisdale Fired from Abercrombie & Fitch

High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale was 'terminated' from her job at U.S. clothing company Abercrombie & Fitch before she could claim her first store discount.

The actress took on the job so she could earn money while she was chasing film and TV roles - but she never officially started.

She explains, "I was hired and then the manager got fired... I kept going in, saying, 'When am I gonna work?'

"The week that I don't go in because I was doing an episode of a TV show, I guess they'd asked me to go in. I went back to get my discount and the guy was like, 'Ok, what's your code?' I gave him the code and he's like, 'Oh, you've been terminated.'

"I felt like Pretty Woman, I was like, 'What does that mean...? Are you kidding me...? I haven't even worked here yet."
