Singer/actress Selena Gomez partly owes her success to a little butt rubbing.

The Disney darling never misses the chance to stroke the statue of slain Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla-Perez for good luck when she's in Corpus Christi, Texas - and she thinks the pilgrimage to the shrine has boosted her fortunes.

Gomez, who is named after the late star, says, "I went there, like, three times. I did rub the butt. I actually think that's why I'm here - because I rubbed the butt."
