Angelina Jolie Dishes Brad, Kids and Hot Stunts!

Teens have long looked up to gorgeous, kick-butt mega-star Angelina Jolie as a role model for take-charge females. She can perform difficult film stunts better than many men yet manages to be an earthy mom to her six kids.

It's very rare that reporters get to sit down with Angelina but she turns out to be very candid about her life with the kids, her partner Brad, training by chasing her kids all over the house, the fact that she is not afraid of getting older and her pride in her worldwide efforts to make the world a better place. Oh yes, and she wants to play Cleopatra some day.

Starting July 23rd, in the action thriller Salt, Angelina again goes ballistic as CIA operative Evelyn Salt, accused of being a Russian "sleeper" spy. She has to go on the run from her own colleagues while proving her innocence.

Picture this gorgeous woman in tasteful black skirt and top and some amazing heels! Yes, we're dishing with Angelina and you're invited.....

Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt in "Salt." | Sony PicturesTeenHollywood: You are running all over the place in Salt. So does chasing little kids all over the house help you with that?

Angelina: Yes [she laughs], the toddlers run fast. But, actually Z (Zahara) is the fastest in the house. They’re all over the place! And the twins are always going in different directions at the same time. We’ve gated a lot of rooms in the house.

TeenHollywood: But you're not running in heels in this film.

Angelina: I guess that was partially my idea. I couldn’t run in heels. I can’t run in heels.

TeenHollywood: This part was originally written for a man. Is it true that you had wanted to do a James Bond-type role?

Angelina: I jokingly said that I want to play Bond [laughs] when I was asked to be in a James Bond movie.

TeenHollywood: Did you have input into the gender changes since the role was originally intended for Tom Cruise and the character was Edwin A. Salt?

Angelina: A lot. The obvious would be that it would be made kind of lighter for a woman in some way, or more loving. We went in a completely opposite direction. The first call was 'we don’t say I love you and she has no child'.

TeenHollywood: But you get a dog!

Angelina: [Laughs] Yeah, someone gave me a dog. I have to at least have a dog [laughs].

TeenHollywood: And you are climbing around on the outside of a building with that dog. Wild stunts in this and you do a lot of them. Talk about that.

Angelina: I was up there on that building! You can’t train to jump off something or climb out a window. That one was just 'get out the window'. We trained all the hand-to-hand combat because we wanted it to be seamless. We didn’t want to piece it together in different edits. We wanted to do it from beginning to end, so we rehearsed it, completely.

TeenHollywood: Don't you have moments when you’re filming an action movie like this where you ask, “What am I doing?”

Angelina: I do! I remember my first day on the Salt set because I hadn’t worked for like a year-and-a-half. I was home and I had babies. I did my first day back and I thought, “What am I doing? I’m somebody’s mother.” [Laughs]Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt in "Salt." | Sony Pictures

TeenHollywood: Do you ever tell your family what you’re going to be filming the next day on Salt and they say, “Please don’t do that?”

Angelina: You know, I met Brad (Pitt) doing stunts together (on Mr. and Mrs. Smith), so we are kind of that family. It is expected of mom to go out and be dangerous.

TeenHollywood: Any injuries and what was the toughest scene physically for you?

Angelina: The toughest scene physically was I think all the hand-to-hand combat. It's completely choreographed from beginning to end, all the fights. Which I think makes them better, you can show bigger pieces and you can see the actors.

And injuries, I did have a lot of bangs and bruises but mainly I banged myself right in the middle of my forehead and I have a tiny, tiny little scar right there [she points]. Cracked my skin open on my head, and then I got dizzy for a bit and all that so they sent me for an MRI. It was like the only sharp corner in the entire room somehow I found. I came in jumping sideways shooting a gun, kind of rolling, and I just rolled right into this desk.

TeenHollywood: You are able to choose your roles and spend time with Brad and your kids. Is that what makes having a family easier?

Angelina: Well, certainly having the choice not to work. Brad and I have the ability to take turns working, and very few parents have that luxury, that we can always have a parent at home and that we can take months off together and travel with the children. It’s that it allows us this luxury of adjusting our schedules so we can be really, really hands on with our children, so we’re very lucky.

TeenHollywood: Are they all aware of what mommy and dad do?

Angelina: Yeah, they know I’m an actor, because they come to set all the time, or maybe they think I just dress up in some weird (outfit).

TeenHollywood: Did Shiloh see you dressed as a guy in this movie?Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt in "Salt." | Sony Pictures

Angelina: No, but Maddox did. I loved doing it, it was the weirdest feeling. I came in and said, ‘Somebody go get Mad, and tell him that there’s a man downstairs.’ He loves the military. ‘There’s a military man that he’s met with mom once and he should come down and meet him again.’ And he came in and just like any 7-year-old, he was so almost bored, having to come meet this (man), and he said, ‘Hi.’ I just put my hand out, and he said, ‘Hi', trying to be really polite but really not interested.

TeenHollywood: What did you do then?

Angelina: Then I said, (in her own voice) ‘Hi honey.’ And he said, ‘Mom?’ And then I said, ‘I get so crazed,’ and he sat and watched me peel the whole thing off and laughed about it, but was definitely like, ‘Don’t do that again.’ But, it’s nice for my girls that it is not just Daddy in movies.

TeenHollywood: Will you and Brad do a movie together again? You must get a lot of offers to do that.

Angelina: Not a lot. There’s a lot of discussions about it [laughs]. We always read about it more than it’s really happening. We’d love to work together again. It’s just trying to find that right thing. It's hard as a couple to find what audiences are comfortable with seeing you as. They aren't comfortable with everything. We would only do it if it would be good for a movie. As much as we’d like to indulge and play together, we have to find a thing that would actually be welcomed by audiences.

TeenHollywood: What about a cameo in each other's films? Was there any cameo possibilities for Brad on Salt?

Angelina: Sure! We almost had him as the motorcycle guy in Salt. There’s a guy I knock off his motorcycle and take it and speed off somewhere. We wanted to have Brad in the bike [laughs]. But, he was with the kids that day, so we couldn’t work it out.Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt in "Salt." | Sony Pictures

TeenHollywood: That would have been hilarious! How do you and Brad pay attention and spend time with six kids? Seems overwhelming.

Angelina: At different times, they need different things from you. Because there are two of us, we’re able to spread the attention around. For example, they all came with me to Cancun, and then I came home (to France) and visited with the babies because they couldn’t come to Cancun. Then, the girls came to DC with me; a girl trip, and the boys are having special boy time with dad. We try to really think about it and schedule it in a way that works so that everyone has special time.

TeenHollywood: With your position as United Nations ambassador you must have some exciting projects in the works that will be of great help to needy people.

Angelina: We're building a clinic in Ethiopia . We’ve got the plot and all the architecture set and all that, but we didn’t break ground yet. I could show you all the information on it. We have a TB Aids clinic in Cambodia, so we’re going to do kind of the same model.

I just traveled a few weeks ago to Equator and to Haiti and now my children are old enough to start coming with me. Madd’s come to refugee camps in Thailand, and the project we’re working on in Cambodia, they spend time there. We don’t make it a thing where it's like going to learn something. It's just if they want to hang out with us and make friends (world-wide) Those friends happen to be going through different situations that they learn about.

TeenHollywood: You'll always be beautiful but are you okay with getting lines and getting older?

Angelina: Yeah [laughs]. I do, I like getting older. I think it’s because I lost my mother. There’s something about that that you really appreciate being able to, as you get older and you see age and you have history with the people you love. You want to see your grandkids. You want to all those things. As it comes, there’s deep pleasure in it. I’m sure that’s also because I have a family. I can relax into it. I do think age is beautiful.

TeenHollywood: Are there more stories you would like to tell about any particular people in history or literature?Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt in "Salt." | Sony Pictures

Angelina: There’s been talk about Cleopatra. I haven’t done an historical epic of that nature and she’s always been fascinating to me because a feel, as much as her story's been done big, it’s never been done accurately. Not that any movie can get history perfectly right. There’s no universal truth to history in some film, but you can get closer. And I feel there’s a lot that hasn’t been explored about her. But there’s a lot that would have to come together for that to work.

TeenHollywood: What about working with Johnny Depp on the new movie, The Tourist. Looks like great fun.

Angelina: It’s a throwback to To Catch a Thief. We wanted to make a film that felt like a real pleasure for the audience in a place that was beautiful, something that was romantic, but also funny. A good thriller, hat’s what we set out to do. Me and Johnny just wanted to make something for audiences that is a real pleasure to watch.

TeenHollywood: Let's talk the bane of your existence, the paparazzi. There were photos of you on the set of Salt across the world before anyone knew anything about the film. How is it working with paparazzi everywhere?

Angelina: The funny thing is (my) Salt (character) and I were doing the same thing. [Laughs] We were just putting our heads down and trying to get out of there!
