New Moon's Ashley/Alice

With Twilight, the beautiful Ashley Greene, best known to audiences as Alice Cullen, quickly became a fan favorite. As the pixie-like, spikey-haired vampire who could see into the future, the 22-year-old's career has taken off, since becoming part of the growing phenomenon.

At the San Diego Comic-Con to hype up The Twilight Saga: New Moon, the next installment in the much-beloved vampire series, the former model talked about what it was like to film with so many fans wanting to catch a glimpse of the beloved stars, everywhere they were on location, even as far away as Italy and co-starring in a romantic role with Twilight buddy Kellan Lutz.

TeenHollywood: Has the Twilight phenomenon bonded the cast members together? Has all that attention and devotion had an effect on you, as a group?

Ashley: Yeah, definitely. Obviously, I can't speak on anybody else's behalf because I don't know how they feel about it, but we all definitely look at each other going, "What is going on? What do you do? Does it happen to you?" It's very nice to have someone right there going through the same thing as you, and that you can relate to it. I think it's had a tremendous effect on how close we've all become.

TeenHollywood: How were the relationships with the cast, this time around?

Ashley: With any relationship, the longer you know someone, the closer you can become with them. The amount of attention that's on this project and the amount of insanity surrounding it has changed all of our lives, but it's happened to us together. I think it's definitely had an impact on how close we've gotten, and how quickly we've gotten that close, because there's a bond formed in that. Who else are you going to ask about something like this? Nobody else is going through it. So, with the second film, I became a lot closer with a few people.

TeenHollywood: How is it for the cast to do these films so close together?

Ashley: The funny thing about it is that we're not filming, but we're still traveling, doing press and doing Comic-Con, so we're not really getting a break. At least we're not working 12-hour days. We get a little bit of time to rest. But, it's good that we're getting them all done because we keep the memory fresh. We're in these characters for the next two years, so I think that it helps to get them all done at once.

TeenHollywood: Is there anything that you can do to make sure that fans don't show up on location?

Ashley: Anywhere we go, they'll eventually find us. We took proper precautions on the film. It's just that, if they want to see you, they'll find a way.

TeenHollywood: Now that you've had the chance to step back, what do you think is the secret of the appeal of Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? Are they sex symbols?

Ashley: Personally, for me, it's how genuine they both are. They are both very authentic people, and that comes across on the screen. Their chemistry is really incredible, together and individually. They are just like that.

TeenHollywood: What will be some of the harder aspects of playing Alice Cullen in Eclipse?

Ashley: I just got the script, so I haven't had a lot of time to really dig into it, but I will. I'll go and work with my coach and bounce ideas off of her. It's nice because we are playing the same characters, and we're just moving on with them and digging through different layers. I feel like the hard part of it is over, and we're just having fun with it. I'm excited about a lot of it, but I don't want to give anything away.

TeenHollywood: How was it to re-team with your Twilight co-star, Kellan Lutz, for Warrior (a film about a Lacrosse star sent to a boot camp)?

Ashley: Because we know each other so well, it was a no-brainer. We already have this chemistry, so it wasn't hard at all. I was wondering about that. We are such close friends and we definitely had a platonic relationship, so going and playing romantic, I was wondering if it was going to be harder or easier. But, because we are already so comfortable with each other, it was actually less awkward than it would be with someone I don't know.
