Is it Love For Paris Hilton and George Clooney?

Paris Hilton has confirmed she went on an unlikely date with George Clooney recently - but she's not ready to move on after splitting with boyfriend Benji Madden last year.

The socialite spent Christmas and New Year single after she and the Good Charlotte rocker decided to end their nine-month long relationship, but she started out 2009 with a much-publicised date with one of the world's most eligible bachelors.

However, Hilton admits romance stories are a little far fetched: "It was just a group of friends. I am very single."

And she insists she's still struggling to get over her split from Madden.

She tells HollyScoop.com, "He is one of my best friends and the sweetest guy I ever dated in my life. I really grew when I was with him. He made me really happy. Showed me what real, real friendship is."
