50 Cent Defends Eviction Decision

50 Cent has staunchly defended his decision to evict his ex-girlfriend and their son from a Long Island, New York home he owns.

On April 3rd a judge ruled that Shaniqua Tompkins and 10-year-old Marquise must leave the hip-hop star's mansion by the end of the 2008 school year - prompting fans to question how the star could throw out the woman who nursed him back to health after he was shot, almost fatally, in New York in 2000.

But the hip-hop star has hit back at claims Tompkins was by his side after the shooting, insisting this was merely how she was portrayed in Get Rich Or Die Tryin', the 2005 film loosely based on his life.

He says, "That's a movie. I tried to paint a more positive outlook on her. She's not my shorty on the side. I haven't dealt with her since 2003."

"She worked for three months in 2001. She ain't had a job, she ain't done nothing. I was giving her $500,000 a year. She thinks she's entitled to 17 per cent, because these chicks she be having around her telling (her all this). I was giving her $25,000 a month, now she wants $50,000."
