50 Cent Denies Closing Clothing Company

Rapper 50 Cent has denied he will be closing his fashion label G-Unit - after talk of redundancies led to speculation the company may be shut down.

The star - real name Curtis Jackson - launched the clothing firm in 2004 in partnership with Marc Ecko Enterprises, which owns 50 per cent of the brand.

The company is rumoured to be on the verge of announcing heavy job cuts after a poor year of trading.

But representatives for 50 Cent told Allhiphop.com that closing G-Unit is definitely not on the star's agenda, adding, "They aren't shutting down."

"They may be leaving their partner, but the G-Unit brand is a base business of $75 million dollars annually."
