A new big-screen comedy version of the 1970s U.S. television show "Land of the Lost" is to start shooting in March, Variety.com reported Wednesday.
Will Ferrell will star in the movie about a disgraced paleontologist who finds himself in a lost world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian creatures called Sleestaks.
The $100 million project will be directed by "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" director Brad Silberling and written by Chris Henchy and Dennis McNicholas, based on the series created by Sid and Marty Krofft.
The show was also re-made as a series in the 1990s.
