Foxx Gets The Red Carpet Treatment In The Arab Emirates

Actor Jamie Foxx was treated like royalty when he arrived in the United Arab Emirates to film his latest movie The Kingdom - he was even given his own ambulance.

Foxx joined co-stars Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper and Jason Bateman in the capital Abu Dhabi for the Middle Eastern action thriller earlier this year.

But the 39-year-old Miami Vice star was the only one to be given the Hollywood treatment usually reserved for top politicians and members of the royal family - including a 25-strong armed guard, a personal food taster and his own team of paramedics, who followed his every move.

Director Peter Berg tells Ok! magazine, "They gave him their highest level of protection - what they would offer a visiting president."
