Iglesias Blames Himself For Not Seeing Dad Julio

Pop star Enrique Iglesias blames himself for not keeping in touch with his singing legend father Julio, but insists reports the pair don't get along are false.

The 32-year-old has not seen his dad since his grandfather died in 2005 and has yet to meet his step-brother Guillermo, mothered by Miranda Rijnsburger, Julio's girlfriend of 17 years.

Enrique says, "It's probably my fault because I left home at 19 and in a way, I never turned back."

"My dad is pretty much a control freak. And I feel like I was probably the first thing in his life he couldn't control."

"For a lot of people, it's difficult to understand. But my dad and I really get along. When we see each other we laugh. We speak sometimes - it's hard because he is travelling all the time."
