Roberts' Niece Launches Reading Day

Julia Roberts' actress niece Emma is the face of a new campaign aimed at prompting kids to drop everything and read.

The Unfabulous TV star has signed up as the spokesperson for National Drop Everything & Read Day, which launches today.

The bookish young actress says, "Kids today have so much technology that I think it is important to encourage them to read and spend quality time with their families."

In promoting the reading initiative, Roberts boasts she reads at least one book a week.
