TV Series Snaps Smith Saga For Storyline

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent" is ripping the Anna Nicole Smith story from the headlines as the basis for a May airing on the New York-based police show.
The episode is inspired by the drama generated by the events surrounding Smith, CBS said.
Guest stars Kristy Swanson, Buffy from the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie, will play the character inspired by the former Playmate of the Year. Comic David Cross of "Arrested Development" will portray a character similar to Howard K. Stern, Smith's companion at the time of her death.
Smith died of unknown causes Feb. 8 in Hollywood, Fla. The Broward County medical examiner is expected to announce the cause of her death soon.
