Style icon Lily Allen is to swap writing hit pop songs for designing dresses, after signing with a top fashion store.
British high street retailer New Look has drafted the pop princess to design this season's collection, which will be called Lily Loves.
The Smile hitmaker, who is renowned for her quirky fashion sense that combines ballroom gowns with sneakers, will unveil her designs in May (2007).
New Look's Sarah Walter's says, "When she was breaking last summer, we thought she was very different, and everyone was picking up on her style, particularly the big prom dresses.
"It's perfect timing, as we're selling a colossal amount of dresses."
The capsule collection will feature six dresses, two pairs of shoes and accessories.
