Minister's Mum Claims Anna Nicole's Jewellery & Baby Crib

Bahamian Immigration Minister Shane Gibson's mother fuelled speculation she is looking after Anna Nicole's baby daughter - after she was seen removing furniture and personal effects from the late model's home on Friday.

Gibson, who was a close friend of Smith, obtained permission to enter the waterfront home to remove clothing and jewellery, while a truck arrived late on Friday to pick up a crib and a infant car seat.

Both items were then driven to Gibson's compound, where a baby could be heard crying later the same evening.

The Immigration Minister has refused to comment about the whereabouts of baby Dannielynn, and won't confirm if he is looking after the child.

Meanwhile, Smith's mother Virgie Arthur arrived in Nassau on Friday, to check on the welfare of her granddaughter.

The baby is currently the subject of a paternity battle between Anna Nicole's partner/attorney Howard K. Stern, who is named as the father on Dannielynn's birth certificate, and her ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead, who insists he's the child's biological father.

Dannielynn will be submitted for a DNA test in Los Angeles on February 20, 2007, to end the paternity battle.
