Simpson Learns To Cook For Mayer

Jessica Simpson is taking secret cookery lessons so she can serve up a home-cooked meal to boyfriend John Mayer on St. Valentine's Day (February 14, 2007).

The famously ditzy singer/actress is planning to show off her culinary skills during a planned February 10, 2007, get-together with Mayer, who will be touring on St. Valentine's Day itself.

A source tells Life & Style magazine, "She's been taking cooking classes and poring over cookbooks, trying to come up with the perfect meal. I think John will be impressed."

The couple has yet to come clean about their romance, but after denying initial rumours of a love match last year, Simpson and Mayer were spotted together at parties and intimate gatherings over Christmas and New Year.
