Matthew McConaughey and Fergie Make a Clean Sweep as Most Desirable New Year's Eve Dates
Matthew McConaughey and Fergie cleaned up as the most desirable celebrity dates for New Year's Eve in a national survey commissioned by OxiClean.
Not surprisingly, Matthew McConaughey made a clean sweep when it came to the male competition, receiving 37 percent of female votes as opposed to Brad Pitt's 17 percent. Fergie also left her competition in the dust, receiving 21 percent of the male votes, with Jessica Simpson and Jessica Alba following closely behind with 20 percent and 19 percent of the male votes, respectively.
Who else cleaned up this year?
-- According to the majority of Americans, Kirstie Alley and Ashlee Simpson. They were voted as having the best celebrity makeovers of 2006.
-- Dakota Fanning did - she was voted the teen with the squeaky-cleanest image this year.
-- Not Britney Spears. The recent divorcee and mom of two was chosen as the biggest celebrity mess, with Tom Cruise following closely behind.
-- US Weekly, the magazine that Americans chose to read up on celebrity gossip. It was voted as the celebrity magazine that scooped the best celebrity "dirty laundry" in 2006.
-- While they may not be bona fide celebrities quite yet, it's only a matter of time until the Jolie-Pitt children, Maddox, Zahara and Shiloh, become celebrities in their own right. Whether they were jet-setting between California and Africa, or simply being toted around by their internationally famous parents, the Jolie-Pitt kids were recognized as the celebrity children who cleaned up the most in 2006 when it came to childhood activities.
-- Reese Witherspoon - even though her marriage was on the rocks this year, she was still voted the most admired celebrity mom of 2006.
According to a survey conducted by Impulse Research on behalf of OxiClean. The survey was conducted online with a random sample of more than 1,000 men and women. The overall sampling error for this survey is +/- 3% at the 95% level of confidence.
