Mary J Blige To Play Nina Simone

R+B star Mary J Blige has signed up to make her acting debut playing Nina Simone in a biopic of the jazz legend.
The movie, a collaboration between MTV Films and Paramount Pictures, will chart Simone's rise to fame and her relationship with manager Clifton Henderson.
Simone became famous for hits Mississippi Goddam and civil rights anthem To Be Young, Gifted And Black.
She died in 2003 in Paris, France, after living in exile for 29 years.
