Britney Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Uncomfirmed reports by Us Weekly state that Britney Spears gave birth to a baby boy early Wednesday afternoon at UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California. They report that Spears arrived at the hospital early in the morning with a police escort shortly before 6 am. Sources report that the delivery took place around 1pm via C-section with Federline by her side.

There are conflicting reports about what the couple intend to name the baby. Us Weekly reports that they plan to name the baby Preston Michael Spears Federline, while according Sky News, Spears was considering naming the child London, after the British capital, where the romance between Spears and Federline blossomed. No other details are available and a call to Britney's reps wasn't immediately returned.

Spears recently told Elle Magazine that she considered pregnancy "mind-blowing" and "therapeutic--all the secrets from your family come out of the closet."

It is the first child for the 23-year-old singer and her husband, Kevin Federline. Federline, 27, has two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson.
